讀經短享：高貴的庇哩亞人

使徒行傳 17:10-11
「...保羅和西拉往庇哩亞去...這地方的人賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。」

「賢於」這個詞，其原文 (註) 在新約中使用過三次 (路十九12；徒十七11；林前一26)，有高貴、尊貴之意。庇哩亞人是比帖撒羅尼迦人更高貴的賢者，因他們極其熱切領受神的話，並逐日查考聖經，要曉得這話是怎樣說的。神看待那些珍視祂話語的人 (詩一百十九17-20、72、103、127) 如同高貴的王子王女一般，因神看重祂自己的話 (詩一百卅八2；民廿三19；結廿四14；王上八56；賽四十8，五十五11；耶一12；撒上十五22；提後三16-17)。

讓我們像以斯拉那樣定志考究遵行神的話 (拉七10；太七24-25)；像約書亞一樣不離口且晝夜默想 (書一8；申卅14、20)；像耶利米把主恩言當食物吃下 (耶十五16；太四4)；像但以理因主說話而得力量 (但十19；徒廿七23-25)；像提摩太守著那純正話語的規模 (提後一13；啟三10)，好在至聖的真道上造就自己 (猶20；西三16)。

此外，雖然我們不是達官貴人，也不像世人那麼有智慧和能力，但神卻揀選我們這些愚拙軟弱卑賤的人 (林前一26-28)，成為祂國裡君尊的祭司 (彼前二9；賽四十三4)，使我們承受祂的國度 (太五3、10，六33；路十二31-32；希十二28)，並與祂一同作王 (詩一百十三7-8；羅五17；提後二12；啟三21，二十6)。感謝、讚美我們的主耶穌基督，祂是我們的大神、我們的大王 (詩九十五3；啟五13)！
