1. 各各他山嶺上，孤立一十字架，這乃是羞辱痛苦記號；
    神愛子主耶穌，為世人被釘死，這十架為我最愛最寶。

故我愛高舉十字寶架，直到在主台前見主面，

我一生要背負十字架，此十架可換公義冠冕。

2. 主寶貴十字架，乃世人所輕視，我卻認為是神愛可誇；

    The emblem of suffering and shame;
    And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
    For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I‵ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

And exchange it some day for a crown.

2. O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
    Has a wondrous attraction for me;
    For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
    To bear it to dark Calvary.

3. In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
    A wondrous beauty I see;
    For ‵twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
    To pardon and sanctify me.
